This course outlines the mechanics for the licensee to comply with the Federal and State Lead Paint laws as well as the buyer’s/tenant’s rights and obligations to assure their compliance should a property contain dangerous levels of lead paint or other materials and a child under six will reside there. Non-compliance penalties and enforcement procedures are discussed. Unlawful discriminatory practices on the part of the seller, landlord or licensee are also documented. Types of compliance certificates, as well as what abatement work can be performed by the property owner, or only by a licensed professional, is explained.
